Crop On Line

Do you have problems getting your layouts done? We've started a new Crop On Line to help you get your layouts done.

Here are a few guidelines for the new "Crop On Line" that will apply to anyone who is interested in joining us.

The main purpose of this is to motivate each other in completing projects and sharing to hopefully give others ideas. Therefore, it is very important to remember to post your finished project to get the next file and bonuses. Each layout will be shown prior to the starting day so you can decide whether you want to join.

We will be cropping together starting the 15th and 30th each month which will be the days the new files will be sent and we begin posting. Layout files will be forward by way of email asap during the day as you post a completed section and request the next file. All request will need to be sent within one week beginning the first day of cropping. So you have 1Week to complete your layout, a lot of time even if you only dedicate 20 mins a day.

The files you will receive will be valued at a minimum of $10 and your cost will be only $5.00. You will also receive extra goodies because you know how much I love to show my appreciation for all your participation. I want you also to know we are here to help. If you want to know how to do something, we will tell you the "how to".

There might be something I am forgetting, but remember I am old. lol I will let you know of any changes. So let me introduce you to Bonnie that will be heading up this adventure. If you are interested in doing this layout please send $5 through paypal to creativekutsmkk@gmail.com and send her an email at bonnie@creativekuts.com letting her know you will be joining in the "crop on line".

Here's my first completed layout and I'm working on layout #2. We will be having 2-3 layouts for you to choose from. You may do 1 or all of them. What a great way to get your layouts done and and to your files.

Have a very crafty day,

Bonnie

Fall Color Trends

Fall Color Trends

Designing and creating your own family memories is a major perk of taking up scrapbooking as a hobby. One thing I enjoy most about scrapbooking is that I can take  color and fashion trends and adapt them to my page designs. There is always some new wild trend, like mixing patterns or wearing colors that are out of our comfort zones!

This fall the hot new colors according to Pantone are: French roast, honey gold, pink flambe, tangerine tango, ultramarine green, bright chartreuse, Olympian blue, titanium, rhapsody and rose smoke. Or to people not in the fashion world: dark brown, golden yellow, bright pink, bright orange, teal, bright yellow-green, blue, medium gray, light purple and light smoky pink

No matter what craft you are into these colors will be so pretty. I'm in love with them all. Which one is your favorite? I love the Tangerine Tango for some reason I always love Orange for Fall. I buy clothes, shoes, paper and jewelry with some sort of orange in it every Fall.

Do you smell the pumpkin!!!

Happy first day of October! I made Pumpkin Crack Cake this weekend for the girl at the retreat and I'm getting ready to take out Pumpkin Muffins out of the oven. YUMMMMM can you smell the Pumpkin? I love Fall  I have to tell you the girls and my husband loved the Pumpkin Crack Cake so I thought I would share the recipe with you.

 Pumpkin Crack Cake

 Serves: 8
White Cake mix  or  if you want you can use  Gluten-free Vanilla cake mix
Ingredients
7 1/2 ounces canned pumpkin puree
7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs, at room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 15-ounce box gluten-free yellow cake mix
8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped pecans)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch square or round baking pan and set it aside.

In a medium-sized bowl, place the pumpkin, condensed milk, eggs, sugar and pumpkin pie spice, and beat until well-combined.
Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared pan. Sprinkle 1/3 of the dry cake mix over the top and swirl it into the wet ingredients with a knife.

Sprinkle the rest of the dry cake mix on top, and smooth carefully until it covers evenly. Pour the melted butter evenly on top of the cake. Next,
sprinkle evenly with chips. Cover the top of the pan with foil.

Place the cake in the center of the preheated oven, and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover, and bake for another 15 to 25 minutes,
or until it has begun to brown around edges.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before slicing into squares or wedges and serving.

Doubling the recipe is a cinch, with a hitch. Double all of the ingredients — except the cake mix. Just sprinkle that thinner if you double the recipe,

Believe me you're going to want to double this recipe so you have some left for the next day. I didn't even get a second piece:(

Thanks to EasyRecipe for this great recipe!!!

For those of you who joined our Blog Hop this weekend Thank you and Thanks for all the comments!

Have a very crafty day! Bonnie

Pumpkin Snickerdoodles

Wow where did today go? I've been busy cleaning up my scrapbook area and forgot to post this morning. Today I thought it would be fun to give you another recipe. I made these the other day and let me tell you my husband had them gone in a couple of days. He was so funny. He was getting ready to leave for work and he's taking all the cookies with him. I asked him if he was taking them for someone at work and he said yea ME :)
Pumpkin Snickerdoodles

For the cookies:

3 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the coating:

1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Dash of allspice

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk together to blend. In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugars on medium speed until well combined. Next, still on medium speed, beat in pumpkin. Then, add the egg and vanilla extract. Lastly, add in the dry ingredients. Beat until combined, but do not over mix. Cover the dough, and refrigerate for one hour, until firm.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Line baking sheets with parchment paper. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and spices for the sugar coating. Scoop dough (approximately 2 1/2 tablespoons) and roll into a ball. Roll the dough ball in the sugar mixture, and place on the lined baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. Take a drinking glass with a flat bottom and moisten with water. Dip the glass in the sugar mixture, and use it to flatten the dough balls. Re-sugar the glass as needed.

Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes. Remove when the centers of the cookies have set. Let cool on the baking pan for approximately 5 minutes, and then transfer to wire cooling racks to cool completely.

Just a note if I was to make these again I would put some Pumpkin Pie Spice in the dough also. I wanted the to taste more like Pumpkin but my husband loved them. I hope your family enjoys them as much as my husband.

Fall Table Setting

Sorry no post yesterday. My husband was working so that meant I was solo at the Retreat so I had to do all the cooking and cleaning by myself :(   We are having a Super Fun time though and the girls that are here this weekend are wonderful.

I love this Fall Table Setting I can already see it on my table. I just need to pick up the orange flowers and maybe a few more candles the next time I go to town.

I hope you had a very crafty weekend. Thanks for by.

Fall Table Setting

I've been looking for a pretty but simple table setting for fall and I finally found one this morning on pinterest. What do you think? The best part is I wouldn't even have to buy anything new to do this.  You could add more color if you wanted by changing out the candles and napkins but I like the white with the fall leaves.

Ghost Pops

Have you ever made these Ghost Pops? They are so easy.....when I made them I used white kleenex( the ones in the square box)  and tied them around tootsie pops with black and orange ribbons. I didn't bother putting the eyes on but you can if you think it's cuter with them. I put them on a large tree I had made out of branches painted black. It was soooooooooo cute I used it in the entry way for a Halloween Party I hosted at a Nursing Home.  There was one for every kid that came through the door. They had so much fun taking them off the tree.

Hope you have a very crafty day:)
